Feather River Door Company® Opaque and Glazed Premium Fiberglass Doors shown above complies with International Residential Code (IRC), Sections R301 & R613 and the International Building Code (IBC), sections 1714.5, 1405.12, 1609, 2403 and 2404 subject to the following conditions: 1. When used in areas requiring wind-borne debris protection, Non-impact doors are required to be protected with an impact resistant covering that complies with section R301.2.12 or the IRC and section 1609.1.4 of the IBC. 2. Allowable design pressure requirements must be equal to or less than the design pressure rating shown in the chart. 3. Anchors are to be installed as shown in the anchor details and instructions. Anchor embedment to base material shall be beyond wall dressing or stucco. Any deviation from the required anchoring and lock hardware may affect the structural performance of the door unit. 4. Conditions not covered here are subject to further engineering analysis.
Testing and Certification:
1. Testing for the above doors were performed by an independent and IAS accredited laboratory - Testing Evaluation Laboratories Inc. and the products have been approved in such high wind velocity areas as state of Florida and Texas. For other high wind velocity areas, the above products complies with the IRC and IBC requirements as referenced above. Testing were performed per ASTM E283, ASTM E330, and ASTM E1886/1996 for the Impact resistant opaque doors. The Non-impact glazed doors were tested per ASTM E283, ASTM E330. 2. Feather River Door Company® participate in a quality assurance program through National Accreditation and Management Institute, Inc. (NAMI) and our certified products are listed in the NAMI product directory.
